It looks like WVU football tickets are going to be big sellers a year after ending the 2009 NCAA football season ranked #25. The WVU Mountaineers football season did not end great for WVU ticket holders, with the team loosing to the Florida State Seminoles in the 2010 Gator Bowl. But this is a new season, and WVU Coach Bill Stewart, now entering his third year as head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers football teams, has his work cut out for him. Tons of touchdowns await, and Mountaineer Field will see some fun moments for sure. Don’t wait too long to get WVU football tickets because they will be going fast. The Big East Conference is getting very competitive, with teams like Cincinnati, Pitt, UConn and more really stepping their game up. But WVU is a proud program eager to get on top. Fans are starting to buy WVU tickets like crazy so make sure that you check it out.
Last year the Mountaineers played in yet another bowl game, but lost to the Florida State Seminoles in the 2010 Gator Bowl, a crushing loss for all the fans that went out to buy Gator Bowl tickets. This year WVU football is hoping to get back to a Bowl Game, and sell some Bowl Game tickets for yet another game. If the Mountaineers can keep it going they could end up selling BCS Championship tickets for the biggest game of the year.
The first game of the WVU football season is on September 4 against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in Morgantown. On September 10 they take on the Marshall Thundering Herd at 7:00 p.m. at the Joan C. Edwards Stadium. On September 18 the Mountaineers welcome the Maryland Terrapins to Mountaineer Field at 12:00 p.m. A big game on the WVU football schedule takes place on September 25 when WVU football travels to Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge to battle the LSU Tigers. They are having a great year and LSU football tickets are always a hot item. An open week gives way to the UNLV Rebels on October 9 at home, followed by the first Big East conference game against the USF Bulls. They’re made some leaps and bounds and South Florida football tickets have really picked up in recent years. Following the game against the Bulls, WVU takes on the Syracuse Orangemen football team. That’s when Big East football really starts picking up, with a game to East Hartford to take on the UConn Huskies football program. The Huskies have had some big games last year, and they’ve been selling UConn football tickets like nobody’s business.
After the second open week the meaty part of the WVU Schedule the action really starts to heat up. The Mountaineers battle the Cincinnati Bearcats at home on November 13 in what could end up once again deciding the end of the year Big East standings. Last year the Bearcats gave all the fans with WVU tickets a heartbreaking loss that took away all hopes of winning the Big East. The good news is that the WVU Cincinnati football game is in Morgantown, and if you can watch the WVU football team you are in for a treat. On November 20 the Mountaineers travel to Louisville to take on the Cardinals.
Another really tough game is on November 26 when WVU visits Pittsburgh. The Panthers can play with anyone and Pitt football tickets are always a hot seller. WVU beat Pitt in the Backyard Brawl last year after loosing the previous two meetings. You can bet that Backyard Brawl tickets are going to be really hot again this year. And the final game on the WVU schedule is on December 4 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. There sure are some intriguing games coming up for WVU football this year. so get those WVU tickets fast so that you can see all the fun in person.
Ranked #21 in preseason polls, #2 in the Big East, the pressure is on Stewart to win some games. Stewart has won 18 games in his first two years, and while some would say that’s pretty good, the Cincinnati Bearcats have won the Big East. Football fans in Morgantown are antsy, and eager for the team to win some games. With the Cincinnati Bearcats taking the Big East crown the past two seasons, you can bet that the Mountaineers will get up for the games against Cincinnati football. The team will need to step up its offence this year, as the team did struggle to score at times last year. The solid WVU Mountaineer defense will be counted on to keep WVU football in the game, and you know they are up to the challenge.
